Measuring up to the customer's requirements
By the time CNT AG was created out of CNT Kommunikationssysteme GmbH, the company already had been able to look back on several years of experience and success. Compared to the rest of the industry it was in fact a true veteran.
Back in 1995, at a time when the commercial use of the Internet had hardly been developed, CNT was working with IBM to develop professional Internet solutions for business customers throughout Germany. In the following two years, it successfully completed extensive projects with well-known clients including Daimler and Michael Schumacher. On the basis of this success and the associated growth, the decision was taken in 1997 to set up a national infrastructure. In 1998, the company's transformation into a stock corporation created a stable basis for tomorrow's requirements.
In 2000, CNT extended its portfolio to include professional services in the telecommunications area. With attractive offers for companies' internal communication systems and its expertise in providing Internet solutions, CNT now offers integrated communication solutions from a single source.
Its experience in telecommunications goes far back. In 1994, CNT Deutschland GmbH was founded and headquartered in Dortmund. The telephone company was active in the fields of callback and telecommunications systems. CNT developed the 'CNT Smartbox LCR X.10', the first least-cost router approved by the Bundesamt für Post und Telekommunikation (Federal Office for Mail and Telecommunications), which automated all call-back and dial-in variants including a least-cost routing function.
CNT stands for Communication Network Technologies.
